Peru – Bringing It All Together

21 January 2010

Even though our departure date is more than six months away, there always seems to be some "last minute" demands that need to be met. So many of you have asked for additional information to share with friends and family that we created a special section on Jean-Claude's web site for this trip:

Everything about the trip – including the sign-up forms for the Bolivia extension – has been included. As discussed earlier, currently there are only ten places available for the Bolivia portion. If you'd like to be included, please complete the separate Bolivia registration form as soon as possible.

To prepare you for this journey, all participants will soon be receiving two books (sent separately and included as part of the package) written by Carol Cumes, the exceptional lady who manifested Willka T'ika – the mystical retreat in the Sacred Valley that will be our base of operations. You'll soon be contacted by Theodocia (Theo) Davis, the coordinator for Willka T'ika to make certain we have your current postal address.

You will undoubtedly understand far more about why you've chosen to join us on this grand adventure once you've read them.

The Book: Journey to Machu Picchu: Spiritual Wisdom from the Andes

"It should be required reading for anyone planning to visit Peru. I certainly wish I had read it before I went last year. It mixes historical fact with folklore, legend, cultural history and spiritual belief of the indigenous Quechua people who farm the mountains of the Peruvian Andes...a work of solid history and cultural research."

The Beook: Chakra Gardens: Opening the Senses of the Soul, by Carol Cumes

Winner of Independent Publisher's IPPY Gold Award for Best New Age/Mind Body Spirit Book 2009

"The book truly touched our judges, and its attention is much deserved. The Independent Publisher Book 'IPPY' Awards honor books which exhibit courage, innovation, and the creativity necessary to take chances, break new ground, and bring about change not only to the world of publishing, but to our society,"

Jim Barnes, Managing Editor of Book Publishing.com and the Awards Director.

About Carol Cumes and the Chakra Gardens™

Carol Cumes was living in Santa Barbara, California when she first visited the Sacred Valley of the Inca in Peru in 1984. She was so captivated that she continued to return with groups and friends. In time, she established a travel company, Magical Journey, which arranges tours to the Sacred Valley. In 1994, she left California and moved to the Sacred Valley where she established the unique and very beautiful Willka T'ika. Visitors to Willka T'ika discover more than the beauty of the scenery – they are immersed in the spiritual and cultural heritage of Peru by exploring sacred sites and meeting and interacting with the people who live near, and work at the Retreat Center.

THE WILLKA T'IKA GARDEN RETREAT

From its inception, Willka T'ika was established as a garden retreat. At its core are the 'Seven Sacred Gardens'. Each garden is dedicated to a different energy center, or chakra, to provide for personal meditation, healing and rejuvenation. The guest accommodations have been built so they merge into the gardens. From the plants and flowers, to the buildings constructed of local materials, Willka T'ika is a living dedication to the heritage and spirit of the people of the Andes.

The countdown has begun. It is patently clear that this will be no ordinary trip. Based on what's already been revealed, this will be an unprecedented experiment in human transformation. I will explain more fully once the registration is closed (which should be quite soon).

Arianne & I can't remember ever having this degree of anticipation for a journey. We are honored to be sharing it with each and every one of you.

In light and love,
Arianne & Jean-Claude Koven
